Night & Day Difference - Remodeled Kitchen

"No complaints!" says Tim and Barbara Lite of Amarillo, about their experience with DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen.

The couple invited DreamMaker into their newly-purchased home in Timber Creek around this time last year with the goal of having just the kitchen updated. Looking at the finished project though, you would see that the "night and day difference" extends past the kitchen to include a much-needed change on its perimeter.

"Everything worked out very well. They removed an entire wall where the new bar is, which opened up the kitchen into the living room," he says. "I am enjoying the space and the view; it was very difficult to entertain guests before."

Remodel Takes Kitchen Surfaces From Lackluster to Luxurious

EASY TO CLEAN – DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen swapped Shelly Hook's stubborn kitchen surfaces for shiny, sleek ones that are easy to clean. Outdated laminate countertops and grimy linoleum floors were tossed for granite and bamboo replacements, and modern appliances provided a luxurious finishing touch.

A clean kitchen is a pretty kitchen – and a satisfying sight for the one who did all the work!

Unfortunately, some kitchen surfaces refuse to shine, no matter how hard they are scrubbed. For Shelly Hook, a busy wife, mother-of-two and physician at Grace Clinic, it was her kitchen's outdated laminate countertops and linoleum floors.

Remodeling an Outdated Master Bathroom

"We bought the house five years ago, and the bathroom hadn't been updated since it was built in the mid-sixties. It needed a remodel badly," says Russ Heskett.

"It really was a mess," his wife Marsha explains. "The previous owner must have painted as a hobby, because every imaginable color of paint was stained and splattered on the old shower floor."

The Hesketts chose DreamMaker after seeing some of the work the company had done in other homes around the neighborhood. When Owner Steve Betts took the couple to see a few DreamMaker bathroom remodels, they were impressed that most of the clients had hired the company to return to their homes for additional remodeling projects.

New Kitchen Design

STAY & UPGRADE – Shane and Christine Haggard needed a kitchen that better served their large family. They considered building, but they lived their neighborhood and the rest of their home. The couple chose to stay and let DreamMaker upgrade their kitchen into a more functional space that's also breathtakingly beautiful.

Functionality is key in a kitchen that feeds four children; pretty is just a plus. Shane and Christine Haggard's kitchen, before their DreamMaker remodel, was neither functional nor pretty.

"Our house was built in the early "70s and the kitchen's design wasn't ideal for our family. With four kids, we have to feed a bunch of people," Christine says.

Remodeling a Plain Bathroom

When Jeff and Sherri Gilbert of Amarillo built their new home in 2004, they went for a basic blueprint.

"It's a nice house, in a nice area, but we really didn't do a whole lot of 'fancy' things when we had it built," says Jeff. "We just planned on a basic design and thought we might update later."

When later came, the master bathroom was the first thing the Gilberts wanted to spruce up. "We had a bathtub and shower in our master bath, but really didn't use the tub much. So we decided to remove the tub and install a large, tiled, walk-in shower," Jeff explains. "We also gained a linen closet in the process – and that's something we really needed."

Remodeling An Outdated Kitchen

Buying a new home is exciting but it isn't without its challenges. Buyers may find a house in the right neighborhood or one at the right price, but then have to compromise on style or amenities. That was the case when Beth George was shopping for her new home in Lubbock.

"I bought the house with the intention of remodeling the kitchen right away," says Beth, who moved into her new home in August. "I loved the home's location and the open floorplan, but the kitchen was sadly outdated. The worn cabinets, white laminate countertops, old appliances, and a sink that was pitted and stained definitely had to go – the sooner, the better!"

So it was that just a few months after moving in, Beth began the process of redoing her new kitchen with DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen of Lubbock.

Couple's small remodel becomes 'gut out' with DreamMaker's help

“My husband and I had seen several articles in the newspaper about DreamMaker, and we visited their store. We decided to stop by the showroom one afternoon and were very impressed with the young man who visited with us,” says Connie. “The showroom had several pictures and displays that appealed to us. We finally made the decision to remodel the kitchen after several discussions with (owner) Steve Betts.”

“He was very patient and took time to explain everything to us. We were impressed with his knowledge, patience and graciousness,” she continues.

Dale and Connie started with the idea of a small remodel, but it soon turned into “a total gut of the kitchen.”

“I have dreamt of a new kitchen for a while,” says Fara. “I knew exactly what I wanted – at cottage style kitchen.”

With a complete picture of her new kitchen in her mind, Fara and DreamMaker owner Steve Betts started bringing her vision to life. The kitchen was functional but it needed to be updated and the couple needed more storage.

They started with the cabinets. Cottage-style cabinets were hard to find so DreamMaker custom made cabinets for the kitchen. Along with function, Fara really wanted a design that would display her beautiful blueberry theme china. To accomplish this, DreamMaker designed display glass shelving.

Remodeling Powerfully Pink

LESS IS BEST – It's not that Ronnie and Donna Brauchi dislike the color pink, they just didn't want it overwhelming their entire bathroom anymore! The couple from Pampa hired DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen to turn their extremely blush bathroom into a soothing space with neutral paint tones, stone surfaces and ceramic tiles.

The new look is a far cry from the "pinkness" that used to overpower the Brauchi's old bathroom. Before their DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen remodel, the space was predominantly pink.

"Everything was pink," Donna says. "We moved into this house in the fall of 1981, when that look was pretty popular."

Enough is Enough

Eight years ago the Taylors decided to downsize and purchased a smaller home. “We love the bones of the house,” says Barbara, “but it was built in the ‘50s and it needed to be updated, so we came in with the idea of remodeling.

The Taylors wanted a larger master bath but did not want to add square footage. “We wanted to keep to the same footprint of the house,” says Barbara.

Two years ago the couple wanted to remodel their kitchen. They found contractors through various advertisements and began receiving bids; among those bids was one from DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen. After interviewing DreamMaker, the Taylors decided to hire the company for their kitchen remodel job.

Open and Light Master Bath Remodel

Tony and Kay Anderson stumbled into a remodel last November. Mr. Anderson explains that one of the tiles in their master bath had cracked and water had leaked into the wall. As they were looking for someone to repair the damages, they found DreamMaker Bath& Kitchen's advertising in the newspaper.

"We went to the showroom. We listened to the presentation. One thing lead to another, and the job grew bigger and bigger," explains Mr. Anderson.

The Andersons have lived in their home for almost two decades and figured that a remodel was long overdue. They saw the repair as a good opportunity for them to update their home.
